About Me

"No singing at the dinner table" was a rule in my home growing up because of me.  As a kid, I was constantly singing and eventually began writing music. After winning a local radio contest, I eventually found myself performing in front of record execs and, at the age of 18, signed a record deal (EMI/ Capitol Records, Nettwerk Records for Canada, Highway Records and Sony for Publishing).

Over the next decade, I learned the ins and outs of writing, recording, touring, interviewing and performing. As a touring artist I earned a Canadian Radio Music Award and a Juno nomination for "Best New Artist" and I was able to tour, perform, and write with some amazing people including Sarah McLachlan and Randy Bachman.

I never planned to be a touring musician but it was experience like no other. Eventually, a career I had always planned for came calling and my attention turned to being a Mom. One kid, eventually morphed into 5 (I'm not sure how that works) and now it's my kids that tell me to stop singing at the dinner table. Writing music requires inspiration and being a Mom inspires me more than ever...it just doesn't always afford me the time to record and share it with you.

Music is still a major part of me and, while my days as a pop artist are just a fond memory, without the pressure that comes with a record deal I'm able to take creative liberties.

This website is dedicated to sharing some of these creations with you in a way that will allow you to perform and share them with others.

Keep revisiting the site as I will continue adding to it.
